Stadium 2023 Charities
We could not be prouder to announce our chosen charities for 2023. In our thirteen years of operation, we have gone from strength to strength – and we’re hugely grateful to everyone who has helped us along the way.
When we first launched the campaign, we asked our staff what charities were close to their hearts. They replied with a lovely mix of local and national charities – and now we’re going to go all-out to do our chosen two justice.
Charity 1: Cancer Research through Mandy’s Angels
Mandy’s Angels are a coventry based family raising money in honour of Mandy Douglas and raise money for Cancer Research.
Charity 2: The Brain Charity (Liverpool)
There are more than 600 different conditions affecting the brain, spine or nervous system. These are called neurological conditions. A neurological condition is any condition that affects the brain, spinal cord or nervous system. Many are well-known, such as stroke, dementia, cluster headaches and ADHD. There are also hundreds of conditions that only affect an unlucky few, such as trigeminal neuralgia, Alice in Wonderland Syndrome and Huntington’s disease. Some neurological conditions can begin suddenly, such as brain injury. Some you are born with, such as epilepsy. Others, like multiple sclerosis, can develop over time. The Brain Charity is the only charity in the UK to be here for every single one of them.
Every member of staff at Stadium will have the opportunity to get involved in one of our events – and we know that they’ll all be keen! With lots of planned activities from abseils to the Pretty Muddy 5K, staff are eager to take on these challenges!
This campaign is a way of raising money for charities and also to have fun and unite our teams across the UK, working together to give something back to the communities we live in and help those less fortunate than ourselves.
